THREE LEADERSHIP LESSONS FROM 2020

1. Leaders Take Care of Themselves: 2020 was challenging in many ways and reiterated how critically important it is for leaders to take care of themselves physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually, BEFORE everything else.

2. Leaders Show Up: 2020 was characterized by uncertainty and unpredictability - leaders showed up despite not having clear answers, bringing people together to collaborate and inspiring people to action.

3. Leaders Connect & Serve: leaders understood that an important role during this massive global threat was to connect and serve their people. Leaders understood that through real human connection, empathy and service, teams could move forward with clear and purposeful intention irrespective of the challenge.

2020 offered us a deep understanding of what leadership is actually about, beyond titles and salary. At its core leadership involves taking care of ourselves so well that we have an abundance of energy, creativity and empathy to serve others powerfully.

Goodbye 2020.
